Year of the Horse — I have finally found the perfect project for all those gorgeous metallic fabrics on the market today. This was a fun quilt to make and it is small enough to hang on a wall. The horses were appliquéd first as one large piece of fabric, then the extras were layered over the top. The Chinese coins, beads, and fusible crystals were purchased at my local hobby store. The thin black borders are 1" folded strips that remain loose on the folded end. Hand appliqué, machine quilting, and embellishments were sewn by Darcy Ashton using Warm & Natural™ cotton batting by the Warm™ Company. ©2010 Ashton Publications, all rights reserved. |
