Grandma's Pony Garden This authentic looking quilt features Aunt Grace’s 1930’s reproduction fabrics set on Centennial background fabric by Judy Rothermel, courtesy of Marcus Brother’s Fabrics. The Flower Garden blocks were made from 3/4" hexagons. There is a template provided on page 15 for your convenience, but you can also use 1-1/4" fabric hexagons cut with an Accucut die cutting machine, or use the 3/4" English Paper Piecing templates sold in many quilt stores. I machine pieced the quilt, but hand pieced the flowers. The hand appliqué was sewn by Darcy Ashton, and machine quilting was sewn by Brenda Esslinger using Soft & Natural™ batting by the Warm™ Company. ©2010 Ashton Publications. All rights reserved. |
