   If you are having trouble finding suitable fabric, make your own by printing out a digital photograph onto fabric. The pieced border frames the fracture nicely and gives more interest to this quilt than just a plain outer border. The original photograph was 7-1/2" square. After fracturing four copies together the center grew to about 11". The pieced border is 2" wide, and the outer border is 3" wide. The original photograph used for this quilt is also used on the next two pages to demonstrate the basic fracture technique.
   This quilt uses four copies of a photograph printed on Printed Treasures printable fabric by Milliken. It was pieced and quilted by Brenda Esslinger using Warm and Natural cotton batting by the Warm Company™. The original photograph was taken by John DeLaughter.
