Butterflies with Beaded Iris - 48" x 62"

     This 30" papercut block is not as hard as it looks. The quilt was appliquéd and embellished by hand by Darcy Ashton. Many different sizes of glass beads were used as embellishments in the butterfly wings. The glass beads forming the "beard" on the iris are #2 straight yellow bugle beads. Machine quilting was sewn by Darcy Ashton using Warm and NaturalT cotton batting by the Warm Company and a purple variegated quilting thread.
