Antique Beauties - 50" x 58"

These butterflies were appliquéd by hand by Darcy Ashton. Several of them were sewn from just one piece of fabric. They were finished with the buttonhole stitch and two strands of black embroidery floss. Small buttons were sewn to the tips of the antennae after the quilting was complete. The charm square border is a fun way to highlight your collection of 1930s fabrics. Long arm machine quilting was sewn by Brenda Esslinger of My Sister's Quilt in Edmond, Oklahoma using circa 1970 100% cotton batting by Mountain Mist for an authentic vintage look and feel.
