Elegant and Deceptively Simple

     This quilt was made from dark, solid fabrics. I think it is very elegant and would make a great wall hanging. The solid fabrics really show off hand quilting stitches too, so have some fun with the finishing touches. The quilt was machine quilted in the ditch first, using matching thread. The rabbit was machine quilted with clear mono-filament thread. I then used black thread to hand quilt the big open colored areas and green thread for the four black cornerstones. This quilt was hand appliquéd, embroidered, and quilted by Darcy Ashton using a thin, black, polyester batting.
